Assembly guide for the Aluminum Heatsink Case for LattePanda IOTA
1.Preparation before installation
- Open the packaging and take out the metal case and accessory kit
- Prepare 1Pcs M3 Phillips screwdriver
- Prepare 1Pcs LattePanda IOTA Figure
2.Installation process
2.1 Remove the fixing screws from the metal case panels and open the accessory kit
As shown in Figure 1, remove the 6Pcs of fixing screws from the front panel, rear panel, and bottom panel of the metal case, and open the accessory kit. The Bill of Materials (BOM) is illustrated in Figure 2.
2.2 Install the light guide and power switch buttons onto the heat sink fins
As shown in Figure 3, take the heat sink fins of the metal case, and install 1Pcs light guide and 2Pcs power switch buttons into the corresponding holes on the heat sink fins.
2.3 Install the LattePanda IOTA into the heat sink fins
As shown in Figure 4, apply a uniform layer of thermal paste to the CPU of the LattePanda IOTA motherboard. Then place it into the heat sink fins of the metal case and secure it with 4 pcs M3 flat-head screws (as shown in Figure 5). Ensure the board's switch aligns with the power switch button.
2.4 Install the metal case panels onto the heat sink fins
As shown in Figure 6, secure the front panel, rear panel, and bottom panel of the metal case using 4 Pcs M3 countersunk head screws each. Ensure the motherboard ports align with the corresponding panel cutouts (as shown in Figure 7).
2.5 Install Silicone Plugs into ANT Ports (Optional)
As shown in Figure 8, if the WiFi antenna is not used, install 2Pcs silicone plugs into the ANT ports to prevent dust ingress.
