The article delves into the Sabertooth motor control system, outlining various communication methods such as analog voltage, radio control, and serial protocols, while highlighting its regenerative topology that effectively recharges batteries during motor slowdown or reversal.
Communication Protocol Description
Sabertooth allows you to control two motors with: analog voltage, radio control, serial and packetized serial.
Principle
The regenerative topology means that your batteries get recharged whenever you command your robot to slow down or reverse.
Other Supplementary Information
Use of our motor drivers with cheap AC adapters is not recommended. Use a battery or at least put a battery in parallel with a DC supply.
