BOSON Drip Irrigation Kit

SKU: EDU0208

The BOSON Drip Irrigation Kit is a hands-on STEM educational kit designed to teach the principles of automated agriculture and water conservation. It operates by integrating environmental sensors with a micro:bit or UNIHIKER K10 microcontroller to construct a smart system that monitors soil moisture and available water levels. Based on this data, the system automatically irrigates plants, simulating real-world smart farming and water management solutions. Key features include a project-based approach to learning about climate action through UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), a beginner-friendly design with a teacher-ready curriculum, and versatile platform compatibility. This classroom-ready kit is ideal for classroom instruction, STEM workshops, and at-home learning for students aged 8 and up.

This is an intelligent drip irrigation system.Pour water into the rainwater collection tank to simulate the process of collecting rainwater on rainy days. The micro:bit dot matrix screen displays the water level. When the water volume in the tank exceeds the set water level and the soil moisture is below the set value, the water pump starts working.Water drips from the dropper until the soil reaches the set moisture level. Then the pump stops and the drip irrigation is completed.

    2. Effect Demonstration Example for K10

System Functions:Pour water into the rainwater collection tank to simulate the process of collecting rainwater on rainy days. The K10 display shows real-time data of water volume and soil moisture. When the water level in the tank exceeds the set value and the soil moisture is below the set threshold, the water pump starts operating.Water drips from the dropper until the soil reaches the set moisture level. Then the pump stops and the drip irrigation is completed.
