This guide provides precautions, installation instructions, and common BIOS settings for the LattePanda Mu RTX 3060 MXM GPU Carrier Board Kit. It is recommended to read all chapter contents thoroughly.

Important Notes

  • Power-Off Operation: Completely disconnect the power supply and wait for the power indicator on the mainboard to extinguish before plugging or unplugging the LattePanda Mu or MXM graphics card.
  • Power Supply Selection: This KIT supports two power supply methods. Only one of the 5.5×2.5mm DC barrel connector or ATX 8Pin connector can be used at a time. Do not connect power adapters to both interfaces simultaneously.
  • Power Matching: Please select an appropriate power adapter based on the graphics card you are using. If you are unsure of the graphics card power consumption, choose a 20V 180W power adapter to cover most scenarios.
  • Fan Voltage: The MXM graphics card cooler features a 12V/5V switchable voltage design. Please select the correct voltage based on the graphics card cooler you are using to avoid insufficient cooling or fan damage.
  • High Temperature Warning: If paired with a high-performance MXM graphics card and running for extended periods, the enclosure temperature will rise significantly. Please keep the cooling vents unobstructed and do not touch the enclosure directly to avoid burns.

Driver Installation

  1. Connect your monitor to any discrete graphics card output port and power on the system.

⚠️Hot-plugging monitors on the discrete graphics card output ports is not supported until the driver installation is complete.

  2. Download the latest driver for the RTX 3060 MXM graphics card from the NVIDIA official website

  3. After the download is complete, double-click to run it and follow the prompts to complete the driver installation.

  4. To verify the installation, open Device Manager, expand Display adapters, and confirm your graphics card model (e.g., NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060) appears. If Microsoft Basic Display Adapter is still shown, the driver has not taken effect and should be reinstalled.
