This guide explores the MG-811 electrochemical gas sensor, highlighting its CO2 sensitivity, calibration requirements, and power supply considerations to ensure accurate and reliable measurements.
Principle
This module uses an electrochemical gas sensor (MG-811) to detect CO2 concentration. The sensor is highly sensitive to CO2 and less sensitive to alcohol and CO, with low humidity and temperature dependency. The onboard heating circuit maintains the optimal temperature for the sensor to function, while the conditioning circuit amplifies the output signal for accurate measurement. The sensor's output voltage decreases as CO2 concentration increases, and a digital signal is released when the voltage falls below a user-set threshold.
