The turbidity sensor is rigorously calibrated before leaving the factory and is ready for use upon arrival, requiring no further calibration.
Precautions for First-Time Use
◆ If the equipment exhibits obvious malfunctions, do not attempt to repair it yourself; contact us immediately!
◆ Remove the black rubber protective cover before measurement.
◆ Clean the transmitter's measuring probe regularly, depending on the operating environment, as deposits will cause measurement errors. Avoid scratching the probe's light guide during cleaning. (We recommend cleaning every 30 days.)
◆ We recommend washing the transmitter's outer surface with water. If dirt remains, wipe it with a soft, damp cloth.
◆ Calibrate the equipment before each use. For long-term use, we recommend calibration every 3 months. The calibration frequency should be adjusted appropriately based on different application conditions (degree of dirt in the application environment, chemical deposits, etc.).
Installation Methods
Submersible Installation: The sensor lead wires emerge from the waterproof conduit, and the top 3/4 thread is connected to the waterproof conduit's 3/4 thread using Teflon tape. Ensure the top of the sensor and the wires are not wetted.
Note: The sensor should be installed in an area with slow-flowing water and no air bubbles; the installation distance should be 5cm from the surrounding walls, and there should be no obstructions within 7cm below the sensor.
Electrode Calibration Instructions
1.Immerse the sensor in a 0 NTU standard turbidity solution (deionized water; for less stringent requirements, calibration can be performed in a dark, clean environment). Once the readings stabilize, send a zero-point calibration command (see the communication protocol example for detailed instructions).
2.Next, immerse the sensor in a 1000 NTU standard turbidity solution. Once the readings stabilize, send a full-scale calibration command (see the communication protocol example for detailed instructions) to complete the turbidity calibration.
**Note: **During calibration, ensure the transmitter's optical window is free of air bubbles and maintain a distance of at least 7 cm between the bottom of the sensor and the bottom of the container.
