Mode 3: Self-Learning

How to Use

1. Switch to Self-Learning Mode

Press the Mode button to switch to Self-Learning Mode.

When the corresponding orange mode indicator LED lights up, the module is operating in Self-Learning Mode.

2. Position the Target

Point the camera at the card or target to be learned, keeping a distance of approximately 10–15 cm.

When the camera successfully captures the target, the onboard green LED turns on.

The green LED indicates that the target is within the camera's effective detection area.

3. Learn the Target

Once the green LED is on, press the Learn button to start learning the target.

During the learning process, the white LED flashes.

When learning is successful, the white LED flashes rapidly three times.

If learning fails, the white LED will not light up. Adjust the position of the target, wait until the green LED turns on, and then press the Learn button again.

4. Detect the Learned Target

After learning is complete, place the learned card or target in front of the camera.

• When the learned target is detected: Both the green and white LEDs remain on, and the PH2.0 port outputs a HIGH signal.
• When the learned target is not detected: The white LED turns off, and the PH2.0 port outputs a LOW signal.

5. Clear the Learning Record

To clear the currently learned target, switch to another operating mode using the Mode button.

Once you switch to another mode, the learning record in Self-Learning Mode will be cleared.

The kit includes 11 learning cards for use with Self-Learning Mode.

To use a card, place it in front of the camera and follow the steps above to complete the learning process. Once learned, the module can detect whether the card appears again.

For more stable learning and detection results, it is recommended to use the module in an environment with stable lighting and a relatively simple background.

Note

Self-Learning Mode is designed to learn and detect target images. It does not identify or output the specific name or category of an object.

For example, the module can learn the image of a card and later detect whether the same card appears in front of the camera, but it does not identify the name of the object shown on the card.
