Getting Started

This article offers detailed guidance on installing submersible sensors, emphasizing installation methods, precautions, and maintenance for accurate water quality measurement.

Installation Methods

Submersible Installation: The sensor lead wires emerge from the waterproof conduit, and the top 3/4 thread is connected to the waterproof conduit's 3/4 thread using Teflon tape. Ensure the top of the sensor and the wires are not wetted.

Note:
1.When installing the sensor, water level changes should be considered to ensure the device is at least 10cm below the water level and in an area with slow-moving, bubble-free water.

2.The sensor should be installed 5cm away from the surrounding walls, and there should be no obstructions within 7cm below the device.

Precautions and First-Time Use Steps

◆ If the equipment exhibits obvious malfunctions, do not attempt to repair it yourself; contact us immediately!
◆ Remove the black rubber protective cover before measurement.
◆ Due to uneven distribution of blue-green algae in the water, multiple monitoring points are recommended; monitor water turbidity below 50 NTU.
◆ Clean the transmitter's measuring probe regularly, as deposits will cause measurement errors; avoid scratching the probe's light guide during cleaning. (Recommended cleaning every 30 days)
◆ It is recommended to rinse the transmitter's outer surface with running water. If dirt remains, wipe it with a soft, damp cloth.
◆ Calibrate the equipment before each use. For long-term use, calibration every 3 months is recommended. The calibration frequency should be adjusted appropriately based on different application conditions (degree of contamination, chemical deposits, etc.).
◆ Do not immerse the plug in water before locking the cable plug to the equipment plug.
