This guide explains the installation process for the HUSKYLENS 2 WiFi module, detailing steps such as removing the casing, inserting the module, and handling thermal grease for optimal RF performance.

Installation Guide

Unscrew the four corner screws on one side of the HUSKYLENS 2 casing.

Separate the metal casing from the PCB. At this point, the PCB and the rear cover are usually very difficult to separate.
You need to hold down the button on the PCB and slowly lift the rear cover. Avoid damaging the buttons and other components on the PCB during the process of forcefully separating.

Insert the WiFi module into the slot. Once properly installed, the outer edge of the WiFi module should be nearly flush with the raised structure on the casing.
Note: Do not press or pull the conductive foam on the surface of the WiFi module, as this may affect its RF antenna performance.

Reattach the metal casing and tighten all four screws.

If the thermal grease is damaged during separation, discard the damaged grease and apply the spare thermal grease included in the package to cover the central chip on the mainboard.
Make sure to apply it to the same area shown in the reference image.
If the original thermal grease is intact, do not apply the spare one.
