Getting Started
The CO₂ sensor utilizes the Sensirion STCC4 chip for direct and accurate CO₂ measurement, offering temperature and humidity compensation via the SHT40 sensor. Ideal for compact spaces and environmental monitoring, this sensor provides reliable data by preventing heat interference. Note: Avoid damaging the yellow membrane on the chip.
A CO₂ sensor based on the Sensirion STCC4 chip. The sensor utilizes the thermal conductivity principle to directly measure CO₂ concentration rather than estimating eCO₂ concentration based on other gases, significantly enhancing the reliability of readings.
It features an onboard Sensirion SHT40 temperature and humidity sensor for temperature and humidity compensation, allowing simultaneous acquisition of temperature, humidity, and CO₂ data on a single module.
It is ideal for projects with limited space and for environmental monitoring applications.
Note: The yellow breathable membrane on the STCC4 chip must not come into contact with organic solvents or be damaged by sharp objects.
- Direct measurement of CO2 concentration, rather than indirect measurement of eCO2 concentration
- On-board temperature and humidity compensation
- Switchable between 0x64 and 0x65 addresses
- The PCB is cut out around the sensor to prevent heat from other components from interfering with the STCC4’s thermal conductivity measurements
