This article offers crucial precautions for first-time users when configuring and testing a module, including using a 3.3V USB-TTL tool, the one-time burning warning, and methods for testing non-I2C and I2C sensors.
Precautions for First-Time Use
- Configuration Tool: Must use a 3.3V USB-TTL tool for configuration.
- Burning Warning: The module can only be burned once. Confirm configuration before clicking "Burn/Program".
- Testing: Non-I2C sensors can be tested with "Run in RAM" (unlimited use before burning; power off completely before second test).
- I2C Sensors: Do not support "Run in RAM"—use DFRobot’s sample configuration files directly.
