The EDGE101 is an industrial-grade IoT programmable controller based on the ESP32 platform, designed for both development and real-world deployment. It integrates RS485, CAN bus, Ethernet, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and a pre-installed 4G CAT1 communication module, providing flexible and reliable connectivity for industrial IoT applications. Built with a rugged metal enclosure, wide 9–26 V power input, and comprehensive protection against ESD, lightning, overvoltage, and reverse polarity, the EDGE101 is suitable for long-term operation in industrial and outdoor environments. It also features 11 native ESP32 GPIOs, 3 I²C interfaces, a TF card slot, OTA firmware upgrades, and a PCIe expansion slot for enhanced flexibility. Supported by detailed online tutorials covering GPIO, industrial communication, networking, MQTT, and cloud connectivity, the EDGE101 enables developers to quickly build applications for industrial automation, environmental monitoring, smart agriculture, remote data acquisition, and industrial IoT gateways.
